Puthuvype Beach an Ideal Beauty Known Less to Visitors

Puthuvype Beach in Kochi is the least explored beach, but it is amazingly beautiful,
which offer a great walkway experience to the visitors. It is least known to the tourists and so is the reason why it gets less attention, but if you are to enjoy a wonderful time along the coastline of Kerala, then you should not miss to pay visit.
The peaceful atmosphere, green terrain which seems to be spread by sea for kids and the lone standing tree along the coastline makes it a picture perfect beach.

Another attraction to this beach is the historical Chinese Fishing Net, which showcases the historical importance of fishing as well as the unique method, how the hanging pools with net helps in catching the fishes from the sea. At regular intervals, the net are raised and if you are interested you can help the fisher man to lift those net from the sea. An international Oceanarium is on progress and if it is made possible, then it would be the largest Oceanarium in Asia and one of its kinds in India.

Green lawns along the sea make it an ideal ground for beach volleyball lovers and more of all a beautiful ground for kids to run and play. If you are fond of water and adventure, speed boats are there to thrill you. More of all, being close to the city, the beach makes in an ideal spot for picnic party. Very close to the beach is the lighthouse, which too offers excellent opportunity for tourist to enjoy the lovely view of the beautiful city underneath and the picturesque charm of the beaches that glorifies the beauty of Kochi much beyond expectations. 

Coming to the fact about the Lighthouse, it was once one of the tallest towers in Asia; today it has lost the tag but remains a major attraction of Kochi. During nighttime, the tower looks wonderful and more of all the view from the tower. It is also said that the powerful becon light emitted from the tower is equivalent to 4 million lighted candles.   

Beside these, during Cochin Carnival, Puthuvype becomes the view point of Kayaking and swimming events. More of all, beach motocross race has also been shifted from Fort Kochi beach to Puthuvype.

Looking as an alternative beach for the crowded beach of Cherai, The government of Kerala is trying and bringing up the best to bring tourism to Puthuvype. Slowly it is also becoming a major upcoming Industrial region in Kochi, which is just about 5 kms from west of High Court Junction. Puthuvype is now slowing becoming a major tourism attraction and more of all; it is also a major western suburban area in Kochi City.

Njarakal

Visit Kumbalangi to witness the insight life of the Kerala fishing village. The coastline hamlet surrounded by the historical Chinese Fishing net and the village from all four sides is worth watching. Mangalavanam
Considered to be the green lung of Kochi, Mangalavanam is a picturesque natural patch of wetland area comprising of mangrove. It is a beautiful area with unique   eco-system and being very close to the city it is well preserved. Most of the credit goes to the wildlife management and the people of Kochi, who have made it possible to keep Mangalavanam still a beautiful place, where birds are found in huge number. 

Mangalavanam is an ecologically sensitive area and has existence of unique flora and fauna as well as birdlife. Mainly a bird refuge, the natural landscape is home to other species of animals like Indian Flying Fox, Eurasian Otter, bandicota, three stripped palm squirrel, dusky palm squirrel and red black rat.

Kochi
